The Name of Changes
Existing as a form of non-permanent being is a common theme in early Chinese philosophy in the writings of Zhuangzi, Pre-Socratic philosophy in the writings of Heraclitus, and in our current understanding of the quantum physics. Everything is and is not at the same time. Everything became, becoming, and will become everything else. Does the continuity of beings defeat the purpose of ontology? How does one name something that is constantly changing into another thing? Is there any moment when changes are not happening? Can the stream of constant transformation exist without a permanent being? Is there any permanent being except time? Is that the ultimate and one and only boundary and frame of Ontology? Is that photographing an image?
